This photography scouting trip covered the coastline around Hawkes Bay. However we did not have the best weather for January, cold, overcast and windy.

PHOTOGRAPHER NOTES:

All of these photos are within an hour drive from Napier. If I were to go back I think Autumn would be the best time of year. The beaches would also be better at low tide. If you wish to go to the end of Cape Kidnappers you need to take a tour bus as there is no public access via car. You can walk but it need to be at start of low tide (see DoC website)
